Commissions Q & A

Q: What kind of commissions have you done?

A: I have been commissioned to make a wide range of work including portrait illustrations, custom paintings, architectural drawings, hand-lettered signs, tattoo sketches, logo and branding designs, high school senior portraits, seasonal family portraits, sports team photographs, and wedding photographs.

Q: What type of commission work are you looking for?

A: I specialize in portraiture in a variety of styles and mediums but I am also open to specialty projects.

Q: How much do you charge for a portrait?

A: It depends! Pricing is based on the complexity of the piece, the cost of materials, and the project timeframe. If you have a specified budget, I recommend communicating this up front.

Q: Where to start?

A: If you are interested in commissioning a custom illustration or any other work, you can contact me at your convenience. Send business inquiries to or send me a message directly from my website. Facebook message requests are not recommended.

Q: What should I send?

A: Feel free to send me an email describing your project proposal. Include basic specifications such as size, format, medium, etc. as well as any photographic references you feel will clarify your vision. If you are unsure, do not hesitate to contact me with any questions!

Q: When can I expect a response?

A: I check my email regularly and I will respond to you as soon as I am able. You can expect to hear from me within the first few days of contacting me.

Q: How does the commission process work?

A: Based on the information you provide, we will negotiate prices and deadlines for your project. To ensure clear communication, I request that each client signs a basic contract, which I will also sign. This agreement explicitly outlines project expectations for both parties involved.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: l can ship within the United States as well as internationally. Shipping cost will be added to the overall cost of the commission at the beginning of the project.
